2) Storyville (Woodlawn)
We have taken several trips to the Storyville at the Rosedale Public Library but today we took our first trip to the newer Storyville at the Woodlawn branch. Storyville is an interactive learning and play area specifically for kids 5 and under. As part of the Baltimore County Public Library books are a big part of Storyville and are prominently featured in the many different play areas. Both the Bee and the Bean loved it! There is lots of stuff for them both to do, check out and play with. They spent a lot of time in the grocery store section, which as an avid fan of grocery stores made me very proud. Bee loved being the checkout girl and spent a long time ringing up not only Bean but lots of other kids. Bean spent a lot of time trying to put the plastic food in her mouth and I spent a lot of time reminding her that the food wasn't real. Bee also loved the puppet/performance area and spent a long time performing twinkle twinkle little star on the stage and changing the set for each new performance. The two storyvilles are pretty much the same and since we live pretty much equal distance from both I think we will be making a lot of trips to Storyville.
