The other day I was sitting at the table paying bills, an unfun adult task, when the Bean came over looked at the table and then said "What are you drawing Mommy?" I couldn't help but giggle a little. Her comment made me realize how much drawing we really do. The girls like to draw with all kinds of drawing materials, pen, markers, pencil, crayons even glitter glue like the picture above. They often have elaborate stories behind their drawings but both sometimes just like to scribble and doodle. We draw at restaurants and waiting rooms. We draw in the car and spend a lot of time drawing at home. We have many sketchbooks in rotation although we also draw on sheets of paper, paper scraps, napkins, coloring books and note cards. Most of the drawings eventually find their way to the recycling bin but lots get displayed in our house or collected in notebooks for looking back on later. While the drawings themselves are important I actually think the act or process is the most important part for us.
