This Weekend we continued our Farmers Market Tour with a Sunday Morning trip to the Baltimore Farmers Market and Bazaar. Held every Sunday from 7am-12pm starting April 1st and running through December the market takes place right under 83 at the intersections of Holiday and Saratoga Streets. The Baltimore Farmers Market and Bazaar is by far the biggest farmers market in Baltimore, with lots of vendors of all sorts. There is always plenty of fresh fruit, veggies and flowers but also lots of cool crafts, baked goods and delicious food. This is a farmers market we generally eat our way through starting with the made to order donuts and usually ending with the pickles on a stick (yes often followed by a little tummy ache but it is all so good.) In addition to our all our yummy snacks we also picked up some tomatoes, red peppers and zucchini which are so plentiful at this time of year, to make zucchini sticks and roasted red pepper and tomato soup (recipe coming soon.)
I have SO many peppers. I was thinking about trying a roasted red pepper sauce for pasta but soup sounds good too.
