75) Pierces Park

A few weeks ago we went to explore Pierce's Park a beautiful newish park located just east of the aquarium. The girls and I immediatley loved this park! Although it is small it is very child friendly with beautiful interactive sculptures perfect for exploring and playing. The girls loved running through the willow tunnel and playing the giant xylphone but by far their most favorite was climibing and sliding down the large metal horn shaped sculpture. They spent easily 30 minutes climbing in, sliding down and running back around to do the whole things again. My favorite was the brick pathway that runs through the park with homophones printed into the bricks. I loved reading each new set of homophones  and finiding sets i had never even thought of. While we really enjoyed the park I also liked it;s convenience to the harbor and harbor east areas. On the afternoon we visited the weather was so nice we actually parked near fells point and walked along the promoade to the park. However, since the park is so close to the aquarium it could easily be part of a trip there as well. Either way it is definitley a park we will be visiting again soon!
