38) Walk the Line

Anyone who has spent any time with little kids knows that it is always the simple things they love. Give a kid an elaborate present and they want to play with the box. I sometime forgot this, but fortunately I have the Bee and Bean around to remind me. Last week the Bee put a piece of tape on the floor. She and The Bean then spent the longest time playing with this piece of tape on the floor. The walked on it like it was a balance beam, jumped over, put things on it. So the next day we made another line a little longer, going from one side of the room to the other. We also added a little zag to this line. Again the girls spent a ton of time playing with the line. The Bean loved laying on the floor lining up all her people.

  1. What a coincidence! We just did this today too! We made roads for the cars and tunnels, etc... it just a great use of our painter's tape. :)

  4. Our kiddos have played a few times with tape set up as roads and parking lots for toy cars. Never thought of making a simple line or zigzag line for them. I'll have to try that one out and see where their imaginations go with it!

    Thanks for sharing :)
