The Bee and I have been playing a new game. Well, not really a new game but new to the Bee, it was actually one of my favorite games to play as a kid. The game is very simple, one person draws a grid of small dots on a piece of paper. You can make the grid as big or small as you want. Each person playing then takes turns drawing a single line connecting two dots. The person who draws the line that closes the box gets to write their initial in it and go again. You keep taking turns, drawing lines and creating boxes until you have filled in the whole grid. Then the person with the most boxes wins. There is a lot of strategy to this game, so at first I wasn't sure the Bee would really get it but it only took her a few times to work out the logistics of how to draw the lines before she was starting to see what she needed to do to get more squares. This is a great quiet time game and a good one for waiting rooms and restaurants!
