21) Longwood Gardens

Today we met friends at Longwood Gardens which is in Pennsylvania a little outside of Philly! It took us about an hour and a half to get there but it was worth it. Longwood Gardens was originally an arboretum that was set to be demolished and was bought and saved by Pierre Du Pont in the early 1900's and transformed into acres and acres of incredible gardens. The place is huge and we only covered a very small part, but what we did see was amazing. The girls loved the fountains and kept asking to get in. They also loved the giant tree house and the children's conservatory. We also ate a very good lunch in the Longwood Cafeteria. I can't wait to go back and check out more, especially in the spring when the flowers are in bloom!
