2) Inspirations: Little Houses

We spend a lot of time at our house, playing house. Setting up imaginary furniture in little rooms for little people. It is both a favorite for The Bee and The Bean and I get why they love it. There is something about little houses....

Inspiration: I love these amazing murals from a group of artists in Hungry. They painted the images of the buildings that once existed in the space, including the layout, furniture and maybe even the people who lived there.

Places to go: The Baltimore Museum of Art 's miniature series by artist Eugene Kupjack is always one of the favorites of kids! These perfectly detailed little rooms are part of the museums permanent American collection. The BMA is kind enough to provide step stools so even the littlest admirer can look to their hearts content.

Stuff to Make: Little houses out of felt, A towering city of little cardboard houses, Brightly painted cereal box houses

Things to Do: Check out Lilla-a Designs 2nd shoebox dollhouse exhibit launching this week. We didn't get to make ours in time to contribute but I think the idea is so great we will definitely give it a try.
